FESTIVAL (5) COLD STORAGE

Blog-style entry here:

Due to construction we were not able to use the site which has hosted so many Cold Storage projects. Starting around 5pm we began to round up a new plan for the evening: create a Festival on the street next to the site.

Blogged Images

The artists that took part were James Orsher, Mark So, Johnny Chang, Jen Hofer, Thadeus Frazer-Reed, Tashi Wadi, Amanda Pomrenke, Claire Bergen and of course Pablo Cavero who rode his bike around the block 27 times (26 for each event that has taken place so far inside the site plus tonight = 27). He was joined for six laps by one of our dear homeless neighbors, Ron Pepper, on his bike. Also, the huge pot of soup remaining from Sundown's lunch went to feed the hungry troops playing, listening and generally being a part. Harmonicas, harmoniums, lap guitars and ebows were used. Claire filling out charts, Thadeus' reading of the Human Genome and Jen's $1.25 purchase of a fischer-price record player and 25 cent Ray Charles record ended the evening well.

The email call for submissions at 5pm for the 8pm festival read:
